We will be taking boarding reservations and providing private lessons and consultations only through March 1, 2025. After then, Pawzitive Steps will be closing our doors permanently. We will be relocating to Oregon after that time. Thank you for your business.
Boarding and Training Services
Private Lessons
Pawzitive Steps uses science-based positive reinforcement training for puppies and adult dogs. We strive to set your dog up for success and to equip families with the tools needed to communicate effectively with their furry companions.
In-home Private Training
$75/hr
Training provided for your dog in the comfort of your home. We take the time to work with you and all members of your family to reinforce the dog's training and show you how to continue their training on a day to day basis.
Evaluation and Behavioral Counseling
$75/hr
Assessment of your dog and his/her behaviors and an evaluation of why he or she may be misbehaving. We will provide practical solutions on how you can manage or modify your dog's behavior and help them to better adjust to their family environment.
New Puppy Consultation
$75/hr
For families who have recently brought home a new puppy. In this session you will learn all things puppy including potty training, crate training, how to address biting/chewing, establishing boundaries and basic health and hygiene for your puppy. We will cover basic developmental stages and behavioral issues you will experience with your puppy. In addition, we will work with children and members of your family to learn how to best handle your puppy and set him up for success as new member.
Boarding and Board and Train Services
Pawzitive Steps provides both long and short term boarding and board and train options for both dogs and puppies. Dogs staying with us are treated like part of the family and are cared for with love and kindness in a warm, comfortable family environment.
Boarding
$65/day per dog
Whether you need to board your dog with us for two days or three weeks, we provide outstanding care for every dog in our home. Daily walks, healthy environment and lots of love and play are included.

Board and Train Refresher
$100/day per dog
This service is provided for owners who would like to board their dog with us while they are away, while also receiving a basic training refresher for their dog. Training includes basic commands, leash manners and appropriate household manners. While your dog is staying with us they will receive at least one hour of formal training each day to strengthen and refresh their skills.
Intensive Board and Train
$180/day per dog
The intensive board and train option is designed for dogs with little to no prior training. Training includes basic obedience, household manners, leash manners, advanced commands, appropriate greeting behaviors, proper behavior in public settings and calming and impulse control exercises. Intensive training can be scheduled for one - two weeks or longer depending on the individual needs of the dog and family.
